It looks like it’s official. September 9th is the day for Apple’s much-anticipated fall event. According to the Street Insider’s invitation, Apple has sent out their round of invites to a select few. And as Apple has always done in the past they’ve included a foreshadowing short message, tagline or teaser of some sort that often give some indication as to what will be happening at the event. This time, it’s a little more cryptic as all the invite states is, “Wish we could say more.”

The event will take place on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 10 AM PST, 1 PM EST in Cupertino California at the Fleet Center for the Performing Arts.

As a rumour mills fly, we’re expected to see the unveiling of the iPhone 6 or a pair of iPhone 6′s one with a 4.7-inch screen, the other with a 5.5-inch screen and possibly, finally the much anticipated iWatch. We’ll also hear more about iOS 8 and Mac OS X Mavericks that we heard about and were first introduced to at WWDC 14 back in June.

But as always will never know the final result until it actually happens.

In 2013, at last year’s event at Apple’s Town Hall Auditorium, Apple unveiled what Cook called the “unapologetically plastic” iPhone 5C and set a new gold standard with the iPhone 5S as well as announcing that iOS 7 would be free and available about a week later.

Chances are that there will be some streaming of the event, but we’ll have to wait for the final word.  In any event, I’m always excited about Apple events as they are usually full of surprises and hopefully, I’ll be tweeting about it as it happens and as fast as my fingers can go.
